A Letter from Laura-
I have been looking forward to the opportunity to properly introduce myself to all of you. While you may have received some general information about me, I wanted to share a bit more as your new neighbor. I was originally from California, but I have been fortunate to call Oregon home for about 25 years, on and off. I have also had the privilege of living and traveling abroad, which deepened my appreciation for people from all walks of life. Although we are each unique, I believe we share far more in common than we realize. While living in Costa Rica, I picked up a little Spanish, though much of it has slipped away over time. If any of you speak Spanish, I would be delighted if you would be willing to help me brush up a bit.

You may have seen me walking around the neighborhood with my black-and-white sidekick, Ellee. She takes her role as“Goose Patrol” here at Country Sunset very seriously.​

When the weather warms up, you may also meet my mother, Lois, who recently became widowed and is from Junction City, Oregon. She will enjoy sitting on the patio basking in the sunshine, taking short walks and getting to know her new neighbors in Country Sunset, as well. She is very interested in joining the Senior Center, so if you have any experience with it, she would love to hear your thoughts. I truly look forward to getting to know each of you, your families, and your experiences both in life and here at Country Sunset. I value respectful open communication and community, and I warmly welcome you all.
